Scarmiglione is Lust's mandatory sub-boss — the Pyric Salamander and lowest-ranking Malebranche demon who gates access to Libicocco's finale. When Scarmiglione Appears
Scarmiglione triggers mid-Lust after survival waves exceed Limbo density. The fight occurs during the Lust timer — not after it like Libicocco. You must defeat Scarmiglione before the stage transitions to the finale boss arena.

Failed Scarmiglione attempts end the entire Lust run. No checkpoint exists between sub-boss and finale — treat this fight as a skill gate before Libicocco.
Dodging Charge Attacks
Scarmiglione's primary attack is a forward charge with a long wind-up telegraph. Dash perpendicular when the wind-up completes — she targets your position at charge start, not your current location.
Charge damage often halves health on under-leveled runs. Save dash charges for charges rather than routine movement. Wind buff phases between charges increase her speed — dodge during buffs, burst during stagger.

Stagger Window Burst Strategy
After each charge recovery, Scarmiglione enters a roughly two-second stagger window. Dump all damage here: Blade of Augustus crit thrusts, spell tokens, and Miracle procs.
Crit builds with Horace spears are the meta choice. Critical Damage charms at level 7+ delete stagger windows. Virgil hybrid handles add spawns during certain phases while slot 4 crit weapon bursts stagger.
Elite Slayer charm does not apply to boss classification — prioritize Critical Chance and Critical Damage over Elite Slayer for this fight specifically.
Preparing for Libicocco After Scarmiglione
Scarmiglione defeat flows directly into Libicocco without healing fountains. Conserve health potions above 70% if possible — Libicocco wind hazards demand buffer health.
