Libicocco is the boss of Lust, the second Circle of Hell available in Hell Maiden's Steam Early Access launch on July 16, 2026. A wind demon from Dante's Inferno, Libicocco tests your build differently than Minos — punishing stationary play with displacement attacks and arena-wide wind patterns. This guide prepares you for Lust's finale after mastering Limbo.
Reaching Lust and the Libicocco Fight
Lust unlocks after defeating Minos in Limbo at least once. Select Lust from the Forum's Circle selection screen for your next run. Lust follows the same timed survival structure as Limbo, with its own enemy roster, map layout, questlines for Homer and Ovid, and a unique boss fight against Libicocco at the timer's end.
Lust enemies deal more damage and move faster than Limbo's roster. Arriving at Libicocco with a deck tested against Minos is the minimum requirement — Lust demands upgraded Mod merges and higher Charm stacks. The Lust Walkthrough covers the full survival phase.
Libicocco's arena is larger than Minos's, with wind currents that actively push your Poet toward hazard zones. Understanding these currents is as important as dodging direct attacks.
Libicocco Attack Patterns
Libicocco's primary attack is a wind blast that pushes your Poet backward toward arena edges. Getting pushed into wall hazards deals significant bonus damage. Always position yourself in the arena's center third before his wind blast windup — this gives you maximum recovery space after being pushed.
His secondary attack summons tornado projectiles that orbit Libicocco before launching toward your position. The tornadoes persist on the ground for several seconds, creating denial zones. Dash perpendicular to the tornado path, not backward, to avoid both the projectile and the lingering ground effect.
At 40% health, Libicocco activates an arena-wide wind storm that continuously pushes all entities toward the arena edge for 15 seconds. During the storm, stop attacking and focus entirely on walking against the wind toward the center. Weapons continue firing automatically, so maintaining center position is your only job.
- Wind blast — Pushes Poet backward; stay in center third of arena
- Tornado volley — Orbiting projectiles with ground denial; dash perpendicular
- Wind storm (40% HP) — Arena-wide push for 15 seconds; walk toward center
- Enrage — Increased tornado frequency after 4 minutes
Recommended Builds for Libicocco
Libicocco has less health than Minos but higher mechanical demand. Burst damage builds that capitalize on stationary windows outperform pure AOE. Virgil's Selenic Bloom delivers excellent burst during the brief pauses between Libicocco's wind attacks.
Horace's critical damage spear build, unlocked via the Horace rescue quest, shines against Libicocco if you can maintain center positioning. Critical hits during Libicocco's attack recovery windows delete health bars quickly.
Homer's epic-themed cards, unlocked through Lust questlines, offer Miracle Mod synergies that trigger bonus damage on boss hits. See the Homer Poet Guide for unlock steps and card details.
Step-by-Step Fight Strategy
Phase 1 (100%–40%): Circle Libicocco at medium range in the arena center. After each wind blast, you have a 3-second damage window before the next attack begins. Use these windows for standing still and letting weapons fire at maximum rate.
Phase 2 (40%–0%): The wind storm phase demands discipline. Stop chasing Libicocco during storms — walk toward center and let auto-attacks handle damage. Between storms, apply the same center-positioning strategy from phase 1 with increased urgency due to the 4-minute enrage timer.
Save spell tokens for phase 2 storms. A shield or invincibility spell token used during the wind storm lets you ignore displacement and continue dealing damage, significantly shortening the fight.
Libicocco vs Minos: Key Differences
Minos tests dodge timing with telegraphed melee combos. Libicocco tests positioning with constant displacement pressure. Players who mastered Minos by learning attack patterns may struggle with Libicocco until they adapt to movement-based counterplay.
Minos rewards high-health arrivals from Limbo's survival phase. Libicocco rewards high-damage builds because his shorter health pool means fewer mistakes are forgiven. Offensive Charm stacks matter more in the Libicocco fight.
