Beatrice Portinari is Dante's guardian angel in Hell Maiden — the Maiden of the Rose Cradle who supports her beloved from Paradiso while gifting Charms that boost combat stats during each run. Phoebe Chan voices both Beatrice and Virgil in Early Access, continuing AstralShift's collaboration from Little Goody Two Shoes.
Story Role and Personality
Beatrice guided Dante to Paradiso on her first Divine Comedy journey. When Dante awakens back in Hell with no memories, Beatrice appears in ghostly form, gifts the Blazing Quill, and beckons her toward reunion in the Gardens of Eden before the Last Judgement.
She speaks cryptically — refusing to explain what sent Dante back to Hell despite Dante's repeated questions. After Minos falls and Horace is rescued, Beatrice reveals herself fully, announcing Dante's second chance at salvation and her role as guardian angel.
Beatrice is devoted and willing to do anything to secure Dante's salvation. Her design features blonde twintails, a blue dress with white underlayer, six white wings when gifting Charms, and she is taller than Dante per developer notes.
Charms from Beatrice in Gameplay
Beatrice appears at odd levels starting at level 7 — levels 7, 9, 11, 13, and so on. She offers Charm choices alongside card picks in the level-up roulette. Charms are stat buffs stacking up to level 10 per type within a single run.
Twenty-one charm types exist across bronze, silver, and gold tiers. Three rerolls per run refresh unwanted offers. Charms do not carry between attempts — prioritize Attack Speed, Elite Slayer, and Growth for most Limbo and Lust builds.
